Once we begin treatment, small tooth-coloured buttons (known as attachments) are placed on the teeth. A series of clear plastic trays are worn throughout treatment. These trays are kept in place for 22 hours a day and are only removed for eating. When we are at a place where the smile has become straight and the bite is even, the attachments are removed and the Invisalign treatment is completed. We always provide maintenance trays that are recommended to be worn at night to help maintain the alignment and prevent the teeth shifting and becoming crowded again. Should the teeth shift after treatment, we provide free corrections with further Invisalign treatment for up to 5 years from the initial start date of the Invisalign process.
